Cleveland? Full of freaks, weirdos, and, of course, the aliens and interdimensional stuff that jumps out at us.
So why, oh why, are they all branching out into the suburbs?
Why do I have to run out to Euclid -- which makes no sense in layout terms anyway -- and redirect some "tourists"* away from the populated areas?
I'm not even sure what they were looking at in Euclid. I confiscated their camera things, and their recording devices, and then had to explain to the police that, really, no one was getting mugged.
Luckily, one of the locals knows me. He isn't sure about just what I do but he knows I'm one of the Good Guys. I try not to take too much advantage of it. (He still won't forgive me for taking him at poker.)
Has anyone been hearing about tourism stuff? Our areas being over run. There were six more at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just the other day. I'm not real sure what the heck is going on, but they keep popping up randomly.
There were others at a recent Indians home game, and we won't go into the trio of guys we picked up in some of the latest drug raids.
At least the Cuyahoga isn't attracting those plasma guys any more.
*Tourists? Do I look like I just fell off the hay truck after dragging myself out of a crack house? I mean, seriously? C'mon. The least the guys from Reticulum Dwarf could do is come up with a believable lie.
